The Ultimate Horse / Pony Grazing Muzzle
Fleece liner for this muzzle
A Safe and Gentle Way to Help Control your Horse’s Forage Intake
The Ultimate Muzzle is available in soft webbing with 5-way fully adjustable straps, rubber nose end with padded nose band for durability and comfort. The Ultimate Horse muzzle is designed to be higher in the front of your horse’s face to make it harder to remove and the breathing holes are larger than most muzzles.
The Ultimate Horse Grazing Muzzle is ideal for metabolically-challenged horses and ponies. The small opening in the bottom allows horses a limited amount of grass, yet unlimited water. Rather than being restricted to a non-grass environment to control intake, horses are free to exercise and socialize as part of the herd. The lightweight muzzles resist rubbing and chafing.
The Ultimate Grazing Muzzles features:
- Larger nostril holes for breathability and comfort
- Higher in the front to make it harder for your horse to remove the muzzle
- Solid chin piece to minimise rubbing
- Leather headpiece to minimise rubbing
- No clips to easily get caught on fences
- Rectangular mouth hole, allowing hay to be eaten as well as grazing
The Ultimate Muzzle is excellent value for money and will help control laminitis and obesity too!

How To Fit The Ultimate Muzzle:
- There should be ample room around the bucket of the muzzle. It should not be tight; you should be able to fit at least 2 fingers room at the front and 3 / 4 fingers at the back
- The cheek pieces should be as close to vertical as possible. If they are pulling back at an angle, the muzzle is too tight
- The chin should not touch the back of the muzzle
- It is advisable to watch the horse / pony eat to check there is enough room
- There should be at least an inch gap between the horse’s muzzle and the base of the Grazing Muzzle
- Adjust the straps so the ring is not too close to the eyes
- The Grazing Muzzle should be removed and checked at least once a day and not left on 24 hours a day
